The Government of Alberta invites Alberta energy companies to join its commercial mission to Buenos Aires and Mendoza, Argentina.

This mission is focused on mature and marginal fields.

Why participate?

Argentina is South America's second-largest economy and is undergoing major energy sector reforms. As a part of restructuring efforts, Argentina's National Oil Company (YPF) is transferring more than 50 conventional and gas blocks to private, smaller-scale operators. These companies are actively seeking strategic investors, technical partners and service providers that can provide cost-effective solutions for field revitalization.

Alberta's expertise in enhanced oil recovery, field optimization, and digital oilfield technologies is highly relevant to Argentina's current needs.

This mission will bring together Alberta-based operators and investors exploring joint ventures or asset-level partnerships with Argentine firms; as well as Alberta-based SMEs offering technologies and services for mature redevelopment.

Participation in this mission offers direct access to decision-makers and potential partners in Argentina's energy sector.
